Because Grants Can Be Kinder
We actively seek out community groups and charities with green hearts, giving them a little boost wherever and whenever we can.
Grant of £300
We have given a grant of £300 to Gilwern Roots, a gorgeous community project which not only runs a cafe and festival but also carries out a monthly litter pick to take care of the local environment. You can follow them on Twitter (@GilwernRoots) or find them on Facebook. The team at Gilwern Roots were quite happy too. They said: “Thank you so much here from all of us at Gilwern Roots, we’re completely energised by all of the positive vibes coming our way! We’ll make sure we pay it forward tenfold!”
Grant of £400
We have given a grant of £400 to Sustainable Wales, an amazing small charity whose mission is to encourage solutions for the unsustainable way we live and to ignite passion for sustainable living practices. You can follow them on Twitter (@suswales) or find them on Facebook. The team at Sustainable Wales were delighted. They said: “On behalf of everyone at Sustainable Wales/Cymru Gynhaladwy, may I thank you for your generosity in offering our charity these funds. We are delighted to accept! It was a wonderful surprise and will help maintain our developing activities.”
Grant of £300
We have given a grant of £300 to Nanty Glyn Forest School, a wonderful place where children learn to connect with the natural world and work with the beauty around us. You can follow them on Twitter (@NYGforestschool) or find them on Facebook. The team at Nanty Glyn were pleasantly surprised by our call. They said: “We really appreciate the random act of kindness. Our current thought is to use it to offer a short programme to a local youth group that we haven’t engaged with yet but would like to, so your funding is very timely.”
